Don’t Castigate Bobi Wine, Give Him Answers

By Kungu Al-mahadi Adam

I think it should be a point of clarity not counter accusations. Let Hon Robert Kyagulanyi be availed with answers to his concerns.

It is a fact NBS claimed to have had their own Tally Centre from which they would do a summation of results. This in itself raised a number of questions especially how they would get results from polling stations across the country when internet was down.

Secondly, how come that they were the only media house allowed to have a tally center and constantly disseminated results to the public. Much as they said they were provisional results, ordinarily, a claim from EC was anticipated on grounds that a parallel tally centre would jeopardize the process. This did not happen.

Further, several journalists (not of NBS) were arrested in some parts of the country trying to as well disseminate provisional results. In fact, two media houses in Jinja remain closed on allegations of doing the same?

So, Mr Wine shouldn’t be castigated but instead availed answers to his genuine questions.
